Obituary

DUDLEY – Wojciech Krzyston, 84, died Saturday, April 28, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. His wife of 57 years, Anna (Niemiec) Krzyston, died in 2013.

He leaves three daughters, Janina Dojczewska and her husband Wieslaw of Toronto, Canada, Zofia Plewa and her husband Kazimierz of Quinebaug, CT and Jadwiga Nowak and her husband Jozef of Dudley; 7 grandchildren, Agnieszka, Marcin, Katarzyna, Dorota, Anna, Grzegorz and Victoria; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Anna Jablonska and Zofia Chryc, both in Poland; nephews and nieces. His son, Jan Krzyston, died in 2000.

He was born and raised in Kluszkowce, Poland, the son of Jan and Aniela (Bochnak) Krzyston. He moved to Dudley in 1982.

Mr. Krzyston was a blacksmith at a mine in Poland all his working life. He was a member of Saint Andrew Bobola Church. He enjoyed playing cards with family members on weekends. He loved his children, grandchildren and children in general, treating them with patience and kindness.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 2, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Visiting hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 1, in the funeral home.
