LEICESTER: Barbara A. (Greiner) Corley, 91 of the Rochdale section of Leicester, died Thursday, April 12 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 68 years, Paul R. Corley, her sons Steven P. Corley and his wife Kathleen A. Corley, and Brian J. Corley all of Rochdale her daughter Kathleen B. Asquith and her husband Paul of Cherry Valley, three grandchildren; Amy Schrader and her husband Marc of Leicester, Marc Corley of Smithfield,RI, and Dean Largesse, Jr. of Cherry Valley, her two great granddaughters; Madelyn and Lilly Schrader, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother George F. Greiner, Jr., sisters Shirley DeStratis and Louise Smith.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of George F. and Lydia T. (Hicks) Greiner, Sr. and later graduated from South High. She was a member of St. Aloysius-St. Jude Parish.
Barbara enjoyed traveling around the country with Paul to visit friends and family. She was a great cook and made sure Sunday dinners and holidays were always special. Later in life, she took great pleasure in spending time and going out with Paul and Brian. Barbara got a real kick out of any gift that had a scratch ticket attached to it. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her devotion to her family, always taking care of others and forever praying for those in need.
She showed amazing strength and courage throughout her life, but never more than during these past few years.
Funeral services and burial in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester were held privately at her request. Please omit flowers.
