SPENCER: Juliette M. (Sourdif) Woods 93, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10 at Jewish Health Care in Worcester, surrounded by her loving caregivers. She was the wife of Philip C. Woods, Sr. who died in 1980.
She leaves her son Philip C. Woods, Jr. and his wife Patricia, James M. Woods and his wife Nancy, her daughter Donna Marie Duszak and her husband Robert all of Spencer, her brother Leo Soudif and his wife Joyce of Spencer, five grandchildren; Sheri Arsenault, Shelie Wells, Scott Woods, Kevin Woods and Joseph Lazarick, III, and eight great grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters Annette Goodwin, Lillian Gagne, Rita Flannery, Marie Burgess, Lorraine Richmond and Jeanette Farren.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Delphin and Exina (Mathieu) Sourdif. Her favorite activities included playing cards and scrabble. She loved to read and spend time with her family. Special thanks to all those that faithfully visited her at J.H.C including her nieces Patty and Sandy. Additional thanks to Anne Marie Jette and the staff at JHC whom she saw daily.
Funeral services for Juliette, will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 10 a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the services from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Spencer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 147, Spencer or Mary,Queen of the Rosary Food Pantry, 60 Maple St., Spencer, Ma. 01562.
