Obituary

Worcester: Claire M. Budzinski, 98, passed away on April 3, 2018 in Dodge Park Rest Home. She was born in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada on October 24,1919, daughter of the late Albert and Bertha Robidas. Claire came to Worcester at an early age and was raised and educated here. She married Albert J. Budzinski on May 31, 1941. They had three children, Susan Joan, who died as an infant, Carole Ann Dimmick, and John Philip Budzinski. She was educated at Holy Name of Jesus School. She was a homemaker for a good part of her marriage and then went on to work at Hebert Candies, Reed and Prince Manufacturing Co., and, later, Norton Company, now known as St. Gobain. She loved Line Dancing and also going on local trips with the Senior Groups and traveling to Colorado to visit her daughter. She also enjoyed being in the Worcester County Light Opera and singing with the Sweet Adelines.

Claire is survived by her daughter, Carole Ann Dimmick and spouse, Howard, of Fort Collins, Colorado, her son, John Philip Budzinski, of Worcester, MA, grandchildren, Brian Budzinski and spouse Elizabeth Budzinski of Sutton, MA, and Jill Colby and spouse John Colby of Candia, NH, as well as great grandchildren, Joseph and Ella Budzinski of Sutton, MA and Jack and Jamison Colby of Candia, NH. Also surviving are siblings Eve Bryan of Lakeland, FL, and Florence Duval of W. Sacramento, CA. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Joseph Budzinski in June of 2006. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Eric Todd Dimmick of Fort Collins, Colorado, and her siblings, Gabrielle MacMillan, Rachel Moore, Leona Kasper, Dell Robidas and Daniel Robidas.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. in Nordgren Funeral Home 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 in the Mausoleum at Notre Dame Cemetery in Worcester.
