Josephine S. Chiras, 89, of Worcester died Tuesday, March 20th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. She leaves many nieces and nephews including Linda Little and her husband, James and a nephew, Brian Vangel and his wife, Emily all of Worcester. She was predeceased by a brother Felix “Phil” Baris, a sister, Anna Vangel and a niece, Marie Boris.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Joseph and Suzanna (Kantor) Chiras. Josephine worked for many years at Chess King, retiring in 1999. She was a member of the former St. Casimir’s Church. Ms. Chiras enjoyed watching Patriots and was a life long fan.
The family would like to thank the staff Elder Services of Worcester for the compassion and care Josephine received over the years and the Rose Monahan Hospice Home for the comfort they gave Josephine in her final hours.
Calling hours are Monday, March 26th from 9:30 until 10:30 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a graveside service at 11:00 AM in Notre Dame Cemetery.
