Obituary

Russell K. McCrohon, 71, of Worcester died Tuesday, March 6th at home. He leaves his wife of 51 years, Susan A. (O’Brien) McCrohon; a daughter, Caryn M. McCrohon of Holden; two sons, Timothy J. McCrohon and his wife Deborah and William P. McCrohon and his wife Rachel all of Worcester; three brothers, Barry McCrohon, Robert McCrohon and his wife, Carol, Paul McCrohon and his wife Janice all of Worcester; a brother in law, William O’Brien of Oxford; two granddaughters, Claire and Audrey and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, John F. McCrohon and a sister in law, Judith O’Brien.
He was born in Worcester the son of John F. and Rita (Turcotte) McCrohon. Russell was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War. He worked for St. Gobain formerly Norton Co. for over 35 years.
For many years, Russell was a Boy Scout leader of Troop 22. During this time, he made lasting memories with his sons and lifelong friendships. Russell enjoyed playing cards with his brothers where they shared many laughs. Mr. McCrohon enjoyed spending vacations at the beach with his family, especially York and Wells Beaches. He was immensely proud of his children and was affectionately known as Bumpa by his granddaughters that he adored.
Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Mohegan Council, 19 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
