Obituary

Worcester-Ralph E. Carpino, Jr., 84 of Worcester passed away Friday, February 23 in Beaumont Nursing Center.
His wife, Rita (Iafrato) Carpino died in 2004. He leaves two brothers, Anthony F. Carpino and his wife, Beverly of Worcester and Allen R. Carpino and his wife, Dolores of Florida; a sister, Christina Monopoli and her husband, Gaetano of Worcester and several nephews and nieces among them his caregiver, Anthony Carpino of Millbury. He was born in Worcester, son of Ralph E. and Gladys I. (Magill) Carpino.
Ralph was a cook at the former Italian Kitchen and Black Orchid Restaurants both formerly located on Shrewsbury Street, prior to that he worked for the Boston and Maine Railroad. He was a daily communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
The family would like to thank the staff of Beaumont Nursing Center for all their loving care and compassion during Ralph’s stay with them.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, March 1 at 11:00AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Road. Burial will be private in Saint John’s Cemetery. A Visiting Period will be held from 9:00 to 10:30AM at Callahan Fay and Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
