Obituary

Thomas Mandella, Jr., 89, of Auburn, died Friday, February 16th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy A. (Ackerman) Mandella; two sons, Thomas G. Mandella and his wife, Shirley and David J. Mandella and his wife, Brinda; four daughters, Denise A. Alexandre and her husband, Dan of Millville, Dawn F. Quebedeaux of Pensacola, FL, Ann M. Zerges and her husband, Stephen of Willsboro, NY and Kim M. Williams, and her husband, Isaac of Bolton, NC, fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his daughter, Darlene Mandella and three brothers, Joseph, Henry and Edward Mandella.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Thomas and Marie (Giguere) Mandella; and was an Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. Thomas had at one time worked as a core maker and molder for Standard Foundry and later worked in construction and as a stone mason. He was an avid fisherman.
