Obituary

LEICESTER/ROCHDALE Joseph R. Robidoux, 89, of 840 Pleasant St., Rochdale, a section of Leicester, died Saturday, February 17 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Marie A. (Maiorano) Robidoux, two daughters, Rose V. Pare and Victoria R. Ethier and her husband Richard all of Leicester, two sisters, Annette Derian and her husband Karney of NY, Anne Houle of Auburn,a sister-in-law, Peggy Robidoux of Auburn, grandchildren; Elyssa Pare and her fiance Luis Figueroa, Bethany Seymour and her husband Devon Seymour, Nicole Ethier, Richard Ethier and great-granddaughter, Layla Figueroa.
He was pre-deceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Joseph & Victoria (Courtamarche) Robidoux.
Joe graduated from St. Peters High School in Worcester and received a degree from Wentworth College in Boston. He later went to Barber School and owned and operated Joe's Barber Shop in Rochdale for over 50 years, retiring in 2014. He also served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Rochdale VFW Post 7556 He has been worshipping at Greenville Baptist Church in Rochdale for the past 20 years. Joe enjoyed golfing, gardening, cooking, and most of all loved his family time.
A Memorial Service with Military honors will be held Tuesday, February 20 at 12 noon in Greenville Baptist Church, 674 Pleasant St., Rochdale. Calling hours will precede the Service in the Church from 10 am to 12 pm. Burial will take place in Greenville Baptist Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Greenville Baptist Church Food Pantry 674 Pleasant Street Leicester Ma. 01542. The MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St. Leicester are assisting the family with arrangements.
