WORCESTER - Kathleen A. (Blomquist) Golas, 73, of Worcester, died Saturday, February 3rd with her family at her side. Her husband of 49 years, Joseph P. Golas died in 2016. She is survived by her son, Jason P. Golas; her daughter, Carolynn M. Tretheway and her significant other, Norman E. Joseph all of Worcester; three grandchildren, Jaquelyn Golas, Jeremy Tretheway and Stephen Golas and a great-grandson, Adrian Cruz.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of George and Eileen (Lovely) Blomquist; and was a graduate of the David Hale Fanning Trade School, earning a State Board Degree in Cosmetology. She had been employed by Home Depot as a lighting consultant for 20 years, retiring four years ago, Mrs. Golas also held a license in Real Estate and was certified as a personal care attendant. She was a veracious reader, loved genealogy and crossword puzzles. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her beloved dog, "Little Boy".
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Chaplin Brian Young and the staff of Salmon Hospice for the care and compassion provided at this most difficult time.
O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue assisted the family with arrangements which were private.
