WEST BOYLSTON-Elizabeth A. (Costa) Spiro, 95, of West Boylston passed away Thursday, February 1 in Shrewsbury Nursing Center.
Her husband, Piro N. Spiro died in 2015. She leaves three children, Nicholas Spiro and his wife, Patricia Swenson of Green Valley, AZ; Susan and her husband, Kevin DeCaire of North Grafton and Robert and his wife, Lisa Spiro of Emmaus, PA; two grandchildren, Christopher and Samantha Spiro; a sister, Catherine Theodoss of Southbridge and many nieces and nephews. A brother, Constantine Costa and a sister, Tina Proko predeceased her. She was born in Southbridge, daughter of Sotir and Caliope Costa.
Elizabeth was an office manager at E.W. Foster Company, before retiring, prior to that she worked at Lodding Engineering alongside her husband and at Filenes Department Store. Elizabeth loved cooking, daily walks, dancing with her husband and especially decorating her home for the holidays.
A Visiting Hour will be held Monday, February 5 from 10 to 11 AM in Saint Mary's Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM in the church. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church. Arrangements are in the care of FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston Street.
