Joseph D. "Joe P" Pingitore, 66, of Worcester, died peacefully in St. Vincent Hospital with his loving family by his side after a brief but valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. He leaves his two daughters, Lynne Galvin and her husband, Scott of Ashburnham and Julie Pingitore of Worcester; his brother, Dominic Pingitore, Jr. and his wife, Lee of Auburn; his sister, Rose Lumb of Millbury; his grandson, Ethan Galvin, nephews and nieces and his grand-pup Kylie.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Dominic Pingitore, Sr. and Caroline (Falcone) Pingitore. His long time passion for things automotive led him to a career as a mechanic, working at area dealerships for nearly 50 years.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 2nd from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
