WORCESTER - Mr. Bernard “Bernie” P. Shea, 61, passed away on Thursday January 25th after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Bernie was born in Worcester on November 6, 1956 a son of the late Paul F. and Gladys (Swallow) Shea.

A lifelong resident of Worcester, Bernie worked as an event project manager for Elevation Exhibits in Shrewsbury, traveling throughout the country setting up tradeshow displays.

He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and loyal friend who enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and riding his Harley.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Belizaire, a sister, Denise Kelley and her partner Mark Kennedy; two brothers, Stephen Shea and his partner Jackie Stein, Kevin Shea and his wife Joan; two grandchildren, Maxwell and Vivienne Belizaire; a nephew, Paul Shea, and two nieces, Jennifer Trigiano and Krista Mora. He was predeceased by his loving partner, Bonnie Mossey.

The family would like to thank Dr. James D. O’Shea and his team at Saint Vincent Cancer and Wellness Center for the care and compassion they showed Bernie throughout his battle.

Relatives and friends will be received at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St Worcester on Monday, January 29th from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Following the visitation, family and friends will join together at Vincent’s on 49 Suffolk St. Worcester from 6pm to 8pm to celebrate Bernie’s life. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Nazareth Home for Boys, 77 Mulberry Street, Leicester, MA 01524.

“If you love something, love it completely, cherish it, say it, but most importantly, show it. Life is finite and fragile, and just because something is there one day, it might not be the next. Never take that for granted. Say what you need to say, then a little more. Say too much. Show too much. Love too much. Everything is temporary but love. Love outlives us all.”
