Obituary

Worcester – William F. Sheridan, 85, of Worcester, died peacefully in his home on January 19, 2018.
Mr. Sheridan was married for 59 years to the late Rita M. (Welch) Sheridan who died in 2015. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Rosemarie Carnes and her husband, Fred of Hudson, MA, Frank Murphy and his wife, Terri of Hudson, MA, Michael and Shawn Murphy of Florida, Mark Belsito and his wife, Charlene of Charlton, MA, Darlene McKay and her husband, Kenny of Worcester, MA, John Welch of Hudson, MA and several great nieces and nephews.
William was born in Springfield, son of the late Charles H. and Marguerite V. (Gagnon) Sheridan and is also predeceased by a brother, Charles H. Sheridan Jr.
He is a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War. Mr. Sheridan worked as a machine operator for the former H.H. Brown Shoe Company and then went to work for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority as a toll collector and then as a courier.
Private funeral services were held with burial in Saint John’s Cemetery. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. assisted the family with arrangements.
