Cory W. Bonin, 40, died on January 12, 2018 in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after sustaining injuries he received while he was hit by a car on Route 20 in Shrewsbury.
Cory is survived by his brother, Derek Bonin; a niece, Andrea Bonin; an aunt Judy Kapetanios; cousins, Melissa Thompson and Jessica Kapetanios.
Mr. Bonin was born in Worcester, son of the late Arlene M. (Ledikauskas) Bonin. Cory had many friends and family who loved and cared deeply about him.
A special thank you is extended to his cousins and godparents, Linda and John Volungis, Christina and Jimmy Bottis, Tony Mancuso and family and Fred Haffty and family. You were always there for him.
Cory is a graduate of South High School and worked for 12 years at United Parcel Service, and also at Building 19 for many years, until needing several heart surgeries for due to marfan syndrome. Mr. Bonin eventually did various labor jobs. His greatest loves were the New England Patriots and animals.
Cory will be buried with his mother at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St. Worcester. Memorial contributions in memory of Cory may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League 139 Holden Street Worcester, MA 01606.
