Obituary

Stanley F. Choinski, 69, of Worcester died unexpectedly on
Friday, January 5, 2018. He is survived by his brother Thaddeus
Choinski and his wife Maria and their daughter Pamela and many
friends. He was born in Worcester the son of Joseph and Statia
(Sochalski) Choinski.
Mr. Choinski was a secondary school mathematics teacher for
many years in the Worcester County Schools. He graduated from
Nicholls College with a Bachelor Degree after graduating from St.
Mary’s High school he did graduate studies at University of
Massachusetts and Worcester State College. In addition to his
professional career he was an ardent athlete. His passion for
running was demonstrating in his longtime participation in road
races and coaching area schools and colleges. A lifelong Vernon
Hill resident, he could be caught along its many hills on his daily
runs over the years. He also recently ran his favorite road race,
the Charlton the “Old Home Day’” for the ____th time! He was a
longtime member of the Central Mass Striders and competed in
multiple road races throughout Worcester County. He was a
longtime volunteer at the Boston Marathon and was recently
recognized by the BAA for his thirty years of service. Stanley
was a kind and quiet man, passionate for his sport and fervid in
his beliefs. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa
Church.
The funeral will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from HENRY-
DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 am
in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be
in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home will
be on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu
