Alice R. (LaBonte) Badger Marciniak

CHICOPEE - Alice R. (LaBonte) Badger Marciniak, 89, of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, January 6, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at home in Holyoke on March 8, 1928, a beloved daughter of the late Delvine J. and Roseanna C. (Belanger) LaBonte. She was raised in Holyoke, attended the former Rosary High School and Immaculate Conception High School and lived in Holyoke for many years. In 1997, she moved to the Aldenville section of Chicopee where she lived for the remainder of her life. She previously worked at the former Electric Game Company in Holyoke and later worked as a housekeeper at Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She leaves her loving husband, Joseph E. Marciniak. They were married on December 18, 1970 and were blessed with over 47 years of happiness together. She also leaves her six loving children, Lorraine S. (Badger) Chamberlain of Twentynine Palms, CA, Raymond S. Badger and his wife, Jane, of Holyoke, Linda J. (Badger) Colon and her partner, Carlos Fontoura, of Palmer, Edward R. Badger and his wife, Deborah, of Springfield, Ronald W. Badger and his wife, Deborah, of Chicopee and Kenneth R. Badger and his partner, Anna V. Michaud, of Enfield, CT; her many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her loving step-daughter, Luann Gillis of Chicopee; her dear sister, Doris Bienvenue of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Marciniak, Badger and LaBonte families. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her former husband, Wiliam H. Badger; her loving son, William H. Badger, Jr. who was Called Home on July 16, 1957; her loving son-in-law, Retired United States Marine Corps Sergeant Major Charles W. Chamberlain who was Called Home on September 9, 2012; and her three dear brothers, Theodore, George and Henry LaBonte. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Prayer Service on her birthday, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at Precious Blood Cemetery, 65 Willimansett Street, South Hadley, MA 01075.
