Vartan Kazangian, 89, of Shrewsbury, died Tuesday, January 2nd in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence. His wife of 62 years, Tudorita “Dorina” (Dumitriu) Kazangian died in 2016. He leaves a daughter, Amalia Ellis and her husband, Lee of Auburn; a granddaughter, Amber Ellis of Auburn; a sister, Rose Kazangian of Los Angeles and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Kazazian.
He was born in Turkey and lived most of his young adult life in Romanian. In 1967, he immigrated to the United States with his family. Vartan work for Table Talk Pies for over 20 years and previously worked as an accountant in Romania. He was an old classic movie buff and enjoyed watching hockey, especially the Boston Bruins.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10th in Hope Cemetery. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester is directing arrangements.
