New Bedford – Matilde M. Soares age 64 of New Bedford, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at home. She was the beloved daughter of the late Margarida (Medeiros) and Joao Luis Soares. Matilde was born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores.
She is survived by her companion, John Bulger; 2 brothers, Jose A. Soares and his wife, Kate Phelps and Joao L. Soares and his wife, Susan Rutkowski; niece, Sarita B. Soares and nephew, Lucas A. Soares.
Friends and relatives who wish to pay their respects to the family are invited to Perry Funeral Home on Sunday, January 14, 2017 between 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. A memorial service will also take place during this time and will begin at 11:00 A.M.
