Obituary

SAVANNAH, GA – Wayne Norman LaFrance, 59, of Savannah, Georgia, previously of Providence, Rhode Island, died Tuesday morning, January 2, 2018, of cancer at his home and under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts on January 2, 1959. He was a son of Lorraine Alfonso LaFrance and the late Norman Louis LaFrance. Wayne was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. He was a general manager in retail sales, a financial advisor, and worked for Hascom, Inc. for many years. Wayne enjoyed painting, hiking and scrimshaw.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kyle Anthony LaFrance. Surviving are his partner, Gerald “Jerry” J. Ramos of Savannah; his son, Kyle W. LaFrance and his wife, Kathryn, of Attleboro, Massachusetts; his mother, Lorraine Alfonso LaFrance of Westport, Massachusetts; his sister, Sharyn Rego of Westport, Massachusetts; his niece, Jocelyn Rego, and his two nephews, Noah Rego and Scott Rogers.

His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday here at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass at St. Luke’s Church, Fall River at 10 A.M. Interment at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport. Calling hours on Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. Remembrances: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital – 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
