SOMERSET – Raymond M. Sousa, age 68 of Somerset, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Tina M. (Nadeau) Sousa and the son of the late Augustine & Mary (Diogo) Sousa. Prior to retiring, Ray worked for the Fall River Traffic Division.
He was an active member of the Liberal Club & Don Carlos Club, an avid N.E. sports fan, enjoyed playing softball & attending his grandchildren’s games. Raymond will be sorely missed, especially at family gatherings where many laughs were shared.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his children: Sheila Santos (husband Donald), the late Raymond Sousa, Lisa St. Clair, Lori Pacheco (husband Jeff), & Amy Cassidy (husband Keith); brother: Paul M. Sousa (wife Charlotte); sister in laws: Theresa Barry (husband Patrick), Paula Souza (husband Joseph), & Diane Nadeau (late husband Albert); grandchildren: Ryan Koval, Devin Cassidy, Ryan, Joshua, Elizabeth, & Rachel Sousa; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours on Wednesday 5-8 P.M.
