Worcester – Virginia J. Soter, 82, of Worcester died on Saturday, December 30th in Saint Vincent Hospital after a brief illness.
Virginia is survived by her brother, Thomas R. Soter and his wife, Patricia of Oxford; her nieces and nephews, Gretchen Soter-Moody and her husband, Pat Moody of Millbury, Karen Bullis and her husband, Patrick of Holden, and Adam Mancini of Webster. She dearly loved her grand nieces, Kyra Moody, Jillian Bullis, and Alyssa Mancini and her grand nephew, Adam Mancini, Jr. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late James and Helen (Naum) Soter.
Ms. Soter graduated from Commerce High School and worked in the accounts payable department of the Wyman Gordon Company and more recently worked for Dimitria Delights Baking Company.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, the Daughters of St. Mary’s, and the Albanian American National Organization. Virginia enjoyed being with her family and traveling, especially to Albania.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd at 11 AM in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 AM before the service in the church.
