Eleanor J. (Clark) Lebel, 91, of Danvers, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Lahey Medical Center in Peabody. She was the devoted wife of the late Rudolph P. Lebel, with whom she had shared 65 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Sadie (Doran) Clark. As a young woman, she worked in the offices of A.C. Lawrence Leathers in Peabody. She earned her real estate license and sold residential homes with Thomas Reap Real Estate in the 1970's through the early 1980’s. She was proud to say that she never lost a contract.
She and her family lived in Ohio for seventeen years and she later moved with her husband to Oklahoma. Here she worked with Native Americans. As a volunteer, she was a court advocate for women and children in crisis. Following the couple’s retirement they became snowbirds, living part of the year in Plano, TX and the remainder of their time in Danvers, MA .

She is survived by four daughters, Kathleen M. Ameduri and her husband Gene of Poland, OH, Maureen J. Lebel of Spokane, WA, Judith E. Lebel of Boston, MA, Janet L. Karch and her husband Ted of Dallas, TX, four grandchildren, Scott A. Ameduri of Scottsdale, AZ, Dr. Rebecca K. Ameduri of Woodbury, MN, Andrea K. Scofield of Dallas, TX and Elisabeth A. Hartford of Carlsbad, NM. She also leaves four great-grandchildren, Alisha & Maya Gupta of Woodbury, MN, Ava & Ali Ameduri of Scottsdale, AZ, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Howard, Jack and Robert Clark and sister, Anna (Clark) Slavin.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers at 11:00 AM. There will be no visiting hours. Burial, at a later date, will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to your favorite charity.
