Northborough-Maria Celeste (DeSousa Moura) Catino, 51, passed away Monday, December 18 at the Jewish Healthcare Center.
She leaves her husband of 25 years, Richard D. Catino; a daughter, Alyssa Moura of Maynard; two grandchildren, Jayson and Taylor Jones; her parents, Luis C. and Maria I. (Moura Sousa) Sousa of Palm Coast, FL; six siblings, Don Sousa of Dudley, MA, John Cabral of Jacksonville, FL, Irene Sousa of Patillas, PR, Lucy Sousa-Leandres of Webster, MA, Nelia Bastos of North Grosvenordale, CT and Ana Diego of Edmonton, Canada; nieces and nephews. She was born in Santa Maria, Portugal and moved to Hudson, MA in 1977 where she graduated from Hudson High School and resided for several years.
Maria Celeste will be remembered for her infectious smile, warm heart and courageous spirit. She had a great passion for her family and community. She enjoyed bringing people together with her love of entertaining and cooking. Maria Celeste was an inspiration to many with her encouraging words and unconditional love.
Memorial Services will be held at 9 am on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Saint Michaels Parrish in Hudson, MA., Celebration of Life immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made in her memory to the Dana-Faber Cancer Institute.
