SPRINGFIELD – William A. Charron, 82, of Baystate Place in Springfield, was Called Safely Home on Monday, December 18, 2017. He passed into Eternal Life at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Springfield on January 8, 1935, the only son of the late J. William and Dosina M. (Barslette) Charron. He was raised in Springfield, graduated in 1953 from Cathedral High School and was a lifelong resident of Springfield. He was employed for 33 years and retired as a Quality Control Inspector for Milton Bradley, which later became Hasbro, and retired in 1997. He was a former member of the Holy Name Men’s Club and the Passionist Retreat League. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. He leaves his beloved wife of over 50 years, Nancy M. (Kudron) Charron; his two loving daughters, Annmarie M. Charron-Smith and her husband, Paul E. Smith, Jr., of Palmer and Christine A. Charron-Moody and her husband, Brett Moody, of Granby; his loving son-in-law, Paul Stefanelli of Sandwich; and his five cherished grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving daughter, Theresa A. Stefanelli. His relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning, December 23, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 395 Chestnut Street, Springfield, MA 01104. His burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
