Helen Sego Posey, 84, of Ashburn passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Pruitt Health Care in Ashburn.
Born on September 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James Earnest, Sr. and Sue Houston Sego. Mrs. Posey was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was retired from the Turner County Board of Education. She is survived by her son, Ronnie (Monica) Posey of Leesburg; daughters, Pam (Harold) Carter of Ashburn and Pat (Chip) Edwards of Leesburg; brother, James Earnest (Jane) Sego, Jr. of Havanna, Florida; sister, Betty Simmons of Newton; grandchildren, Blake Carter, Lauren (John) West, Joshua Posey, Ben (Meaghan) Posey, Madison Posey, Cody Edwards, Anna Edwards and Connor Edwards; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Hewlett Posey. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 8, 2017 at Sycamore Baptist Church. The family will greet friends beginning at 9:00 AM until the hour of service at the church. The family may also be contacted at the home of Pam and Harold Carter. | ||||
