Obituary

Worcester – Beatrice C. (Largess) Toney, 76, of Worcester, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 27th in her home.
Beatrice is survived by a son, Thomas L. Toney III of Nova Scotia; 4 daughters, Cheryl A. Legare and her husband, Alan of Athol, Linda L. Gregoire and her husband, David of Oxford, Donna M. Wheeler and her husband, David of Auburn and Michelle D. Gauvin and her husband, Ricky of Auburn; 2 brothers, Raymond Largess of Leicester, MA and Paul Largess of Worcester; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Beatrice was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Louis and Louisa (Cotnoir) Largess and is also predeceased by a sister, Bella Burritt. She worked for the City of Worcester for over 20 years at the former Worcester City Hospital and later retired as a dispatcher for the Worcester Police Department. Beatrice previously worked for the Buck Brothers manufacturing Company in Grafton as an assembler.
She enjoyed playing bingo, taking day trips to the casino and going to yard sales. Beatrice will be greatly missed by two of her closest and dearest friends, Jeannine Largess and Beverly Champion.
The funeral will be held on Friday, December 1st from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 11AM in Saint Peter’s Church 929 Main St. Burial will be at a later date in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are on Thursday, November 30th from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Beatrice may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League 139 Holden Street Worcester, MA 01606.
