Mary A. (Butler) Tassinari, a resident of Medford, passed away at the Chestnut Woods Nursing Center in Saugus on October 25, 2017. She was 83 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts on October 29, 1933, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (McLaughlin) Butler. Mary was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Boston. She had worked as a Tax Examiner for the Department of Revenue for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading books. She was a woman who spent her life learning. Mary loved visiting museums and learning about her Irish history. She was also a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Medford. She will be dearly missed.
She was the beloved mother of Elaine T. Tassinari, Valerie J. Tassinari and Ronald Tassinari, all of Medford and devoted sister of Anna Burns, Frances McNeil, Joseph Butler and Jackie Butler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, from 6 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
