Kevin P. Coleman, a 15 year resident of Haverhill and formerly of Charlestown and Brockton, entered into eternal life suddenly on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 64 years of age.
Kevin was born in Everett on December 2, 1952, a son of the late retired Boston Police Superintendent Francis J. "Bud" Coleman and Margaret T. (McLaughlin) Coleman. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated at St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Christopher Columbus High School in Boston in 1970 . He furthered his education and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Suffolk University and his Associates Degree from Mass. Bay Community College. Kevin was working as a Purchasing Manager for S.G. Torrice Company in Wilmington for the past several years. Kevin enjoyed boating on the ocean, traveling, taking cruises and was an avid Patriots fan. Kevin was a former member of the Majestic Knights Drum & Bugle Corps. Kevin took great joy enjoying the quality times he was able to spend with his grandchildren.
Kevin is the devoted father of Christine McGrath and her husband Sean, Timothy Coleman and his wife Stephanie and Kevin P. Coleman Jr. and his wife Kristen. He is the loving Granddad to Lauren, Timmy, Ronan and Lexi, Sophia and Stella. He is the former husband of Patricia Galligan and Pamela Riley .He is the step-father of Jill Stamegna. He is the beloved brother of Francis Coleman, Mary Busa, Robert Coleman, retired Boston Police Detective, Daniel Coleman and the late Philip Coleman. He is also lovingly survived by his many nieces, nephews and Whitey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Kevin's Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. His burial is private. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
