MAJAHAD, Anthony M. of Winthrop, passed away on November 7, 2017. He was 69 years old. He was the beloved husband of Dorry P. (Scantlebury) Majahad. Dear brother of Joseph Majahad of Salem, MA, Peter Majahad of Bradford, MA, Simon Majahad of Plum Island, MA and the late Leo Majahad. Adored uncle of Daniel, Peter and Colin Scantlebury and Simon, Jacob, Sam, Mercy and Danielle Majahad. Brother-in-law of Andrew and Charlie Scantlebury, Kathy Scantlebury and the late Larry Scantlebury. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St. Winthrop on Friday, November 10 at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Please go directly to church. Interment will follow in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). Prior to his retirement, Anthony worked as a chemist for Harvard University. He was a member of the Winthrop Air Pollution, Noise, and Airport Hazards Committee. He loved poetry and was a member of various poetry groups. Funeral arrangements are from the Maurice W.
