McDonough, June M. (Doyle), age 83, passed away peacefully at home in the company of her loving family on Friday, November 3, 2017. Born in Boston, she grew up in Roxbury, was educated in the Boston Schools, and was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. A current resident of Pembroke, she had formerly lived in Quincy for many years. Mrs. McDonough's family described her as "a woman of impeccable taste" and a person "who made everything better." She derived great pleasure from gardening and had been recognized in local newspapers for her beautifying efforts. For a period of time Mrs. McDonough worked at the Quincy Public Schools Commissary and was appointed as a Baker. Second only to her children was her devotion to the Siamese cats she adored over the years. The beloved wife of the late Coleman V. McDonough, she was the devoted mother of Michael J. Cox and his wife Corrine of Weymouth, Coleman V. McDonough and his husband Matthew LaPointe of Pembroke, and Terrance J. McDonough and his wife Patricia A. of Kingston and cherished grandmother of Corrine Roberts, Jen Maguire and Jackie Cox and great grandmother of Kendall and Colin Maguire. Mrs. McDonough was the sister of Edward Doyle and his wife Peggy of Taunton and the late Doretha Shea, Patricia Comeau, Lorraine Pike, Saundra Kelly, James, John, and William Doyle. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, 432 Adams St., Milton Thursday morning, November 9, 2017 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
