Obituary

Mr. Antonio (Tony) Andreottola, cherished husband of Rose (DeLeo) Andreottola, died peacefully at home on Thursday October 26, 2017 in Medford, MA at the age of 87.

Antonio is survived by his wife of 62 years, children Alfonsina and her husband Mauro Minchella of Stoneham and Anthony and his wife Nancy Ishkanian of Medford, grandchildren Angela MacDonald, Michael Minchella, Alyssa Minchella Helms and Talia and Gabrielle Andreottola, great-grandchildren Grace and Daniel MacDonald, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his daughter Angela and his five brothers Nicola, Giovanni, Francesco, Michele, and Gerardo Andreottola. He is also survived by his sisters Rosina, Leonilde, and Vittoria of San Sossio Baronia, AV, Italy.

Antonio was born on July 4th, 1930 in San Sossio Baronia, one of nine children of Angelo and Alfonsina (Cordisco) Andreottola. He married his beloved wife in 1955 and settled in Boston's North End. He spent his later years living between Medford, MA. and Waterboro, ME. He will be remembered as an incredibly generous, hardworking, and loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

A funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Monday, October 30, 2017, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017, from 4 to 7 PM. Interment will be held in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Antonio's memory may be made to the Fr. Mychal Judge Recovery Center, C/O: St., Anthony Shrine, 100 Arch St., Boston, MA 02111
