Obituary

Frances A. (Wiseman) Mantha, 88, of Auburn died Wednesday, October 18th in the Christopher House surrounded by her family. She leaves two sons, Richard P. Mantha, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Oakham, Stephen P. Mantha and his wife, Doreen of Rindge, NH; three daughters, Patrica A. Davis of Ohio, Geralyn A. MacDonnell of Rutland and Mary H. Tolley and her husband, Steven of Paxton; a sister, Teresa H. Belanger of Sandwich; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James P. Mantha; two daughters, Katheryn A. Wolfe and Sandra A. Dellolio; a granddaughter, Chera-Lynn Brunelle; a brother, James F. Wiseman and a sister, Lillian Poirer.
She was born in Boston the daughter of James and Helen (Vargalis) Wiseman. Frances was a woman of strong faith, a dedicated prayer warrior and a longtime member of Our Lady of the Angels Church. She enjoyed spending her time bowling, knitting, crocheting and skiing which she learned to do at the age of 60. Frances worked at Rutland Heights Hospital as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, where she truly enjoyed her patients.
Her funeral is Wednesday, October 25th with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Frances's name to the Christopher House, Respiratory Department for specific equipment, 10 Mary Scano Drive, Worcester, MA 01605 or to the American Lung Association, 1161 Worcester Road #301, Framingham, MA 01701.
