Obituary

Worcester – Roland G. Thibeault, 86, of Worcester, died on Friday, October 6th in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus with his family by his side after being stricken ill on Thursday.
Roland was married for 65 years to the love of his life, Yvonne (Letendre) Thibeault. Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Marc Thibeault of Hawaii and Denis Thibealt of Worcester; a daughter, Denise Garrepy of South Carolina; a sister, Joan Smith of Florida; a granddaughter, Shilo Eisnor and many nephews and nieces.
Mr. Thibeault was born in Worcester, son of the late Ferdinand and Yvonne (Martel) Thibeault and is also predeceased by a sister, Doris Blondin. Roland proudly served in the United States Naval Reserve for 8 years.
He worked in the hospitality industry for his entire 50-year career. Roland worked as the Bell Captain at the Sheraton Hotel in Worcester, the Sheraton Hotel in Boston, the Marriott in Worcester and the Crowne Plaza in Worcester. Mr. Thibeault was a member of the Auburn Knights of Columbus and the Cathedral of Saint Paul.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 13th at 10 AM in the Cathedral of Saint Paul 15 Chatham Street with burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. is assisting the family with arrangements.
