Webster – Lydia Fontaine, 84, of Webster, MA died on Monday, September 4th in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, with her family by her side.
Lydia was born in New Bedford, MA daughter of the late Francis and Helen (Simmons) Fontaine and is survived by a sister, Delores Allain of Millbury; a brother Herbert Fontaine of Londonderry, NH and many nephews and nieces including Rochelle Webb of Charlton, who was her primary caregiver. She is predeceased by a brother Ernest Fontaine and a sister, Evelyn Nelson who died in August.
Ms. Fontaine loved animals, and had an unconditional love for her dog, Shadow.
Funeral services are being held privately under the direction of Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street Worcester. The family requests that memorial contributions in memory of Lydia be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter 111 Young Road East Brookfield, MA 01515.
