Obituary


Blanid J. Moran, 94, of Auburn died Saturday, August 26th in the Life Care Center of Auburn. Her husband, Terrance J. Moran died in 1961. She leaves a son, Terry J. Moran and his wife, Michele of Holden; a daughter-in-law, Susan Moran of Auburn; ten grandchildren including special granddaughters, Christina and Cheryl who were her caregivers; fourteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald F. Moran who died in 2002; ten brothers and sisters.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of George and Katherine (Hyland) Trombly and graduated from the former High School of Commerce. Blanid was a long-time member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and was an active member at the YMCA until she was 90. She worked for the David Clark Company for many years as a quality control inspector, retiring in 1989. Blanid enjoyed traveling throughout the world, some of her favorite places she visited were Israel and Egypt. She was a spiritual person with a heart of gold who always put her family first. Blanid absolutely loved children and took care of generations of them over the years. She was a friend to many. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her funeral is Wednesday, August 30th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 12:00 PM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, August 29th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Our Lady of the Angels Building Fund, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603.
