Obituary



Celestine M. (Egan) "Sally" Boulay passed away peacefully on August 25 under the loving care of her family and dedicated staff at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home. Sally was born on November 7, 1932 in Youngstown, Ohio and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA where she graduated from Sacred Heart High School. At the age of 19 she entered the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, Alabama where she met and married her true love David Boulay from Auburn, MA. Together they settled in Worcester to raise their family.
Sally will be deeply missed by her husband of 64 years David Boulay Sr., her five sons David B. Boulay Jr. and wife Kelly, Thomas J. Boulay, Joseph R. Boulay all of Worcester, Paul C. Boulay and wife Jennifer of Oxford, MA and Robert G. Boulay of Jacksonville Beach, FL, her four daughters Teresa M. Clark of N. Grafton, MA, Rosemary Dombroski and husband Brian of Worcester, Ann M. Bisceglia of Holden, MA and Rita M. Sigler and husband Jon of S. Windsor, CT, eighteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Richard J. Boulay, her son-in-law James Clark and five siblings Patrick G. and John P. Egan, Margaret Miller, Kathleen McMahon and Jane Egan.
For several years, Sally worked as a house keeper at Our Lady of the Angels Rectory in Worcester. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church since 1959 and at one time was a Eucharistic Minister.
Sally was a devoted mother and grandmother and cherished spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and never missed a Sunday crossword puzzle. She lovingly wrote letters and sent greeting cards to family, never forgetting a birthday, anniversary or any special occasion.
Her funeral is Tuesday, August 29th with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street (Please go directly to church). Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, August 28th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Family Center Campaign c/o Our Lady of the Angels Rectory, 1222 Main Street Worcester, MA 01603 or to the National Parkinson Foundation at 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.
