Obituary

LEICESTER: Rudolph R. Mancini, 97, died Thursday, August 24 in UMass Memorial Hospital after an illness.
His wife Pauline (Walczak) Mancini died last year. He leaves a son Rudolph R. Mancini of Leominster, a son-in-law Richard M. Murdock of Leicester, a grandson Brenden Murdock of Leicester. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Paula Murdock.
Mr. Mancini was born in Worcester, son of Michael and Mary (Fazio) Mancini. He was a machinist at Wyman-Gordon Co. for many years before retiring. He was a decorated WWII United States Army veteran. He volunteered for the town of Leicester recycling program. He was a handyman around the house. He enjoyed reading and going to the dog track.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 30 from MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 9:30-10:30 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.
