Obituary

West Boylston – Antoinette M. (Flaminio) Conforti, 87, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 18, 2017 in the presence of her loving family at Notre Dame Long Term Care Center in Worcester.

Born in Worcester on June 28, 1930, Antoinette (“Flip”) was the daughter of the late Pasquale Flaminio and Mary (Solitro) Allen.

Antoinette’s beloved husband of 35 years, Paul G. Conforti died in 1984. Her only son, Stephen J. Conforti predeceased her in 2008. She will be forever remembered and missed by her two daughters, Paulette L. Disinger and her husband, Russell of Okeechobee, FL and Anita M. Bergstrom and her husband, Donald of Worcester; her six grandchildren, Shannon and Sean Moore, Paul, Angela and Matthew Conforti and Valerie Bergstrom; her three great grandchildren, Stephen Conforti and Brady and Barrett Moore; her step-grandson, Christopher Bergstrom and her step-great granddaughter, Sadie Bergstrom and many nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Major Edwards High School in West Boylston. She continued her education at David Hale Fanning Trade School to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Antoinette worked for 25 years at the former Holden District Hospital until it’s closing and then at Hahnemann Hospital, retiring in 1992. Antoinette was a longtime member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish, the West Boylston Senior Center, and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed local and foreign travel especially family vacations to Hampton Beach.

Her family is forever grateful to all the staff of both Notre Dame du Lac and the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center for the loving and compassionate care of their mother and grandmother. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Sr. Anne G. Gagnon, SND.

Relatives and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Antoinette’s life by gathering for visiting hours on Tuesday from 4- 7 p.m. at FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston and again on Wednesday morning before leaving in procession to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester Street, West Boylston at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in High Plains Cemetery, Oakdale. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Notre Dame Educational Bridge, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
