DUDLEY – Janina Kurpiel, 88, died Thursday, August 10, 2017 in Harrington Hospital in Webster, with her family by her side, after a brief illness.
She leaves a daughter, Krystyna Kondratowicz, with whom she lived; a grandson who she helped raise, Krzysztof Zarazinski of FL; 2 great grandchildren, Krzystof Zarazinski and Madison Zarazinski of FL; a brother, Leon Kurpiel of Poland; a sister, Zofia Bieszczad of Poland. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.
She was born in Nowy Targ, Poland a daughter of Jozef and Zofia (Rozmus) Kurpiel. She moved to Dudley in 1987.
Ms. Kurpiel worked as a candy maker in Poland. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and doing housework.
The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 14, in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street (please meet at the church). There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster.
