Karyn M. (Magnusson) Gallant of Worcester, passed away suddenly on August 3, 2017 at her home. She was 48.
Karyn was born in Worcester on April 2, 1969 a daughter of Carolyn J. (Kazanowicz) and the late Robert W. Magnusson. She graduated from Burncoat High School in 1987 where she excelled at soccer, basketball and softball. Karyn went on to attend Worcester State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree.
Her work ethic was unmatched and she was employed for many years at Verizon where she worked in sales. She also held a second job working part time for Lowes Home Improvement Center in Leominster. In her free time she enjoyed landscaping and caring for her home and traveling to the beach with her friends. Anyone who knew Karyn could attest to her greatest pleasure in life which was shopping. She possessed a true zest for life that attracted countless friends throughout the years.
Karyn’s warm, welcoming spirit will never be forgotten as she leaves behind so many that will miss her contagious smile including her mother, Carolyn J. Magnusson of Worcester; her two brothers, William J. Magnusson and his wife, Candy of Rutland and David W. Magnusson of Holden, who shares the same birthday with her; an uncle, Francis Kazanowicz of Athol; loving nephews, John O’Leary of Dallas, TX., Michael O’Leary of Holden, and Edward Gaudet of Rutland; many special friends including Jennifer Fitton and Christine Curci.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Karyn’s life by gathering on Monday, August 7th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 8th in the funeral home. Burial will be held privately.
