Zoica Dhima, 87, of Worcester died Monday, July 17th in St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Her husband, Ilia Dhima predeceased her. She leaves four daughters, Bardhylke and her husband, Flamur of France, Zhaneta and her husband, Hasan of Albania, Elektra and her husband, Edi of Italy and Maria and her husband, Mihail of Worcester with whom she lived. She also leaves five grandchildren, Besa, Eri, Iv and twins Iljon and Bjorn and a great grandson, Eliot and many nieces and nephews all around the world.
Zoica will be remembered for kindness, her sincerity, and for her love of all human beings.
She was a devoted wife, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family, traveling around the world, but Cape Cod and Bermuda became her most loved places. She was a fan of Russian ballet, classical music, Italian operas and of course all of Albanian art and music. She will be really missed by all people who knew and met her.
Her funeral is Thursday, July 20th at 12:00 PM in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. A calling period will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
