Arthur E. “Archie” Fournier, 96, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Webster Manor.
His wife of 48 years, Ethel (Gladue) Fournier died in 1998.
He leaves nieces and nephews, including Paul J. Fournier and his wife Patricia of Webster and a brother, Norman Fournier of Florida.
Archie was born in Webster, November 25, 1920, son of the late Oscar and Odina (Chauvin) Fournier and lived here all his life. He was also predeceased by 2 brothers; Napolean Fournier and Roger Fournier and 4 sisters; Eva Reed, Doris DiCostanzo, Marie Ferraro and Cecile Brisbois.
He worked at the former Gadoury Bakery, and the former Stevens Linen Associates for many years, before retiring.
Archie was a WWII U.S. Army veteran and served as a Tech 4, and saw action in Normandy, Central Europe as well as the Asiatic Pacific.
There are no calling hours.
As per his request, funeral services will be private with the Webster-Dudley Veterans’ Counsel providing Military Honors at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
