Auburn – Patricia L. (St. Francis) Mason, 53, of Auburn, died on her father’s birthday, Saturday, June 10th in the Lifecare Center of Auburn after a long illness.
Patty is survived by her husband and primary caregiver of 24 years, Alan D. Mason; her siblings, James E. St. Francis and his wife, Eileen of Myrtle Beach, SC, Roger K. St. Francis and his wife, Maryann of Charlton, Gary M. St. Francis of Auburn and Debora A. Wyman and her husband, Robert Jr. of Worcester; many nephews and nieces including her Godson, Russ; several cousins and a neighbor who became her close friend, Wanda Bien.
Mrs. Mason was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward F. and Winifred M. (Powell) St. Francis and is also predeceased by a sister, Lynn M. St. Francis.
Patty is a graduate of South High Community High School in Worcester. She was a babysitter for many people and the children grew to affectionately know her as Auntie Patty which she was very proud of. Patty was a loving and giving soul that only had kinds words to say about others.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 15th from 5 to 7 in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a prayer service at 7PM. Burial will be at a later date in Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Patty may be made to the Lifecare Center of Auburn “Patient Activity Fund” 14 Masonic Circle Auburn, MA 01501.
