Worcester – Bella M. (Largess) Burritt, 82, of Worcester, died on Sunday, June 4th in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus.
Bella was married for 58 years to the late Roland S. Burritt Sr. who died in 2011. She is survived by her children, Ann M. Viera, Paul A. Burritt, Brenda T. Burritt, Doreen M. Ramos all of Worcester, Steven M. Burritt of East Brookfield, Diane C. Banfill of West Brookfield; 2 brothers, Raymond Largess of Leicester and Paul Largess of Worcester; a sister, Beatrice Toney of Worcester; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Burritt was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Louis and Louisa (Cotnoir) Largess and is also predeceased by two sons, Roland Burritt Jr. and Michael Burritt. She worked for the former Brown Shoe Company and later focused on raising her family.
Bella enjoyed being with her family and could often be found either playing cards or doing a word search. She also enjoyed going to yard sales, playing bingo and spending time outdoors cleaning.
The funeral will be held on Friday, June 9th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 11AM in Saint Joseph Church 35 Hamilton Street. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 in the funeral home before the funeral.
