Obituary

SPENCER: Regis E. Breault 91 died Monday, May 1 at his home surrounded by his wife and family.
He leaves his wife of 70 years, Irene M. (Parenteau) Breault, daughters Lois A. Breault-Melican and her husband Denis of Spencer and Denise E. Wood and her husband Michael of Cherry Valley, a brother Wilfred Breault and his wife Sally of Fort Pierce Fla. and Spencer, four grandchildren; Shawn and Scott Flavin, Elizabeth Beford and Michael Wood, seven great grandchildren; Johnathon, Alivia, Brianna, Aiden, Jameson, Finian and Rian, along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Noreen E. Flavin in 2014 and sisters Lucille Bergwall, Pauline Bouley and Jeannette Hoglund.
Born in Spencer, he was the son of William and Lillian (Phaneuf) Breault and graduated from David Prouty High School and Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester. As an electrical engineer he had a long career in the wire & cable industry as a plant manager before retiring. He served his country as a naval officer on board the attack transport USS Queens during WWII.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Salmon V.N.A. Hospice for their compassionate care of Regis.
The funeral will be held on Friday, May 5 with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the church. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salmon V.N.A. Hospice, 37 Birch St., Milford, Ma. 01757.
