Obituary

WORCESTER- Aram “Archie” Sohigian, 83, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Janice Jastremski Sohigian; a niece, Stephanie Sohigian and nephew, Steven Sohigian of Andover; a sister in law, Ann Jastremski of Uxbridge. He is predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Berjouhi Sohigian; a sister, Margaret Sohigian; a brother, Vartkes and his wife, Matilda Sohigian.

Archie graduated from Worcester Public Schools and nearby colleges. He was very active in school sports. Archie also served in the United States Army Reserves as a captain. He was an active member of the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church.

Archie worked for 45 years at Bay State Abrasive Tyrolit in Westborough where he was the manager of project engineering. He was a very active golfer at Pleasant Valley Country Club for over 35 years, where he achieved 4 hole-in-ones.

Funeral and burial services will be private in Hope Cemetery. Arrangements in the care of CALLAHAN-FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 635 Grove St., Worcester, MA 01605.
