CLINTON/WORCESTER-Edwin G. Santiago, 62, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at UMass Medical Center after a brief battle with lung cancer.
He is survived by his children, Edwin Santiago, Jr. of Worcester and Brenda Santiago and her husband Angel Rodriguez of Leominster, and nine grandchildren. He also leaves his siblings, Richard, Carmen and Arelys Santiago, all of Worcester; Angel Santiago Gonzalez, Aleyda Perez, Julia Estelle Santiago and Carmen Nina Santiago, all in Puerto Rico, and many nephews and nieces.
Edwin was born in Puerto Rico, son of Ignacio Santiago and Milagros Gonzalez-Hernandez. He moved to the United States in 1970 and attended Burncoat High School. Edwin worked as a machine operator for many years at various companies, most recently at Weetabix Company, Inc. in Clinton. His favorite hobby was fishing.
