Cherry Valley: Daryl Ann Nowers, 49, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in her mother's home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She leaves her partner of over 20 years Walter Hastings; her mother, Judith (Pfuntner) Nowers; her son, Brandan Thayer; her twin brother, Dale Nowers; sister, Michelle Nowers and her spouse Jennie; brother, David Nowers and his fiance Allison Stevens; grandson, Braylan Thayer; and her niece Haley Nowers and nephews Joseph and Ben Cormier. Daryl Ann was preceded in death by her father, Darel C. Nowers and a son Krin Matthew Thayer. She also leaves behind a large circle of friends and family in which she enjoyed her life with.
Daryl Ann was born in Maine, graduated from Holy Name Central Catholic High School, and worked as an office manager for the Commonwealth of MA. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Daryl Ann had a passion and love for her friends and family in which she enjoyed spending time with watching her favorite player Tom Brady and the Patriots at Ellers Restaurant. With her large personality and infectious laugh, Daryl Ann lit up every room she was in. She loved spending time at the family cottage in Maine where she watched for the eagles flying overhead. Her love of life will always be treasured and remembered by her loved ones.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 3:00pm in Epworth United Methodist Church 64 Salisbury St. Worcester, MA 01609 followed by a Celebration of Life at a location to be determined. There are no calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date in Maine. In lieu of flowers, donations in Daryl Ann's memory may be made to the Saint Vincent Cancer and Wellness Center, Reliant Medical Group Foundation, 100 Front Street, 6th Floor, Worcester, MA 01608 or the ASPCA via their website www.aspca.org.
