Obituary

WEBSTER – Lois M. Hucksam, 85, died Sunday, October 9, 2016 in UMass/Memorial Healthcare after an illness.

She leaves a sister, Edith E. Hucksam, with whom she lived; cousins and many friends. Her sister, Barbara A. Cobb of Webster, died in 2015.

She was born in Webster, a daughter of Henry C. and Marion L. (Stokinger) Hucksam and lived here all her life. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1948.

Miss Hucksam was a bank clerk at the First National Bank of Webster, at Guaranty Bank & Trust Company and finally at the Bank of New England. She retired in 1988.

She was a member of Saint Louis Church and the Saint Louis League of Catholic Women. She was also an honorary member of the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council.

The funeral will be held Thursday, October 13, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Visitation will be from 9:15 to 10:15 AM Thursday in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 53, or to the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council, both at 3 Veterans Way, Webster, MA01570.
